ROBBINSVILLE -- Emil G. Barron, 78, passed away Saturday in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Eckley, PA, he was a resident of the Hamilton Square/Robbinsville area for past 50 years.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served on the U.S.S. Craven during World War II. Mr. Barron was a life member of VFW Post #3525. He retired from Trenton High Vocational School after 30 years of teaching and then was a partner in Barron's Automotive in Trenton. Mr. Barron was a life member of Fin, Fur and Feather Club of Allentown. He enjoyed gardening, auto racing and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Barron; three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Barbara, Emil and Cheryl, and Michael and Jacqueline Barron; two brothers and a sister-in-law, John and Carol Barron, and George Barron; and five grandchildren, Christine, Matthew, Lauren, Stephanie and Katie. Funeral services will be held 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 4612 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. Interment will follow in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Colonial Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Barron's memory to the Washington Township Fire Department, 1149 Route 130, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
