William A. "Bill" Mayoros Jr.


William A. Mayoros Jr., 67, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, surrounded by his family at his home. Born in Trenton, Mr. Mayoros was raised in Hamilton, was a graduate of Steinert High School Class of 1968 and had resided in Florence for 43 years. He served in the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army. After his time of military service, Mr. Mayoros returned to the Hamilton area where he worked as a steel fabricator. He retired in 2015 after 25 years of service with the NWL Transformer Company of Roebling. Previously, he worked with Jaeger Sales and Supply as well as Whelan Manufacturing Incorporated, both of Trenton. Mr. Mayoros was a member of the VFW Post 8838, of Roebling, The American Legion Post 194, of Florence, The Ancient Order of Hibernians, of Hamilton, the Beach Buggy Association of Island Beach State Park and the Fin, Fur and Feather Club of Allentown. In his spare time, he enjoyed family gatherings, hunting, fishing, visits to the Shore and always loved watching his grandchildren playing sports.

Predeceased by his parents, Marie (Taylor) and William A. Mayoros Sr. and his granddaughter, Aydeen Stark, he is survived by his wife, Nancy A. (Cupido) Mayoros; his children and their spouses, Wm. Scott and Kimberly (Burch) Mayoros, and Jennifer and Eugene Stark Jr.; his grandchildren, Victoria, Brenden, Kailey, Logan and Allison; his siblings, Candace Perilli, Carol A. Meyers and Neil Mayoros Sr. and his wife, Geraldine; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Becky and Dave Knauth, and John and Teri Cupido; his aunts and uncles, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, from 6 until 9 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Interment with Military Honors will follow on Friday at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
