CREAM RIDGE - Robert W. Fennimore III, 75, passed away Saturday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Trenton, he grew up in Yardville before moving to Cream Ridge 56 years ago. He was a retired lineman with PSE&G, a charter member of the New Egypt Elks Lodge, a lifetime member of the Fin, Fur and Feather Club, was part of the Saturday morning "Breakfast Club" and was an avid Detroit Lions football fan.
Son of the late Robert W. II and Katherine Fennimore, husband of the late Mildred I. Fennimore and father of the late Robert W. Fennimore IV, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, William J. and Kathryn Fennimore of California, MD and Brian and Anita Fennimore of New Egypt; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and William VanArsdale of New Egypt; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Harry Hampton of Hamilton Square and Catherine and William Mayer of Pensacola, FL; and five granddaughters, Charyl VanArsdale, Kristen, Stacey, Ariana and Andie Fennimore. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Interment will follow in Cream Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and again Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Egypt Elks Handicap Children's Committee, Lakewood Road, New Egypt, NJ 08533. Fenni was very active in the Fin, Fur and Feather organization with hunting, fishing and other social events. For many years Bob and his wife, Mildred played Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus for the children of the Fin, Fur and Feather Club members. Fenni was a regular in many club functions including the golf tournaments, deer hunts, small game hunts, fishing tournaments as well as the New York hunting trips.
