Stephen F. Burick, 86, of Hamilton Township passed away peacefully in the loving presence of his family at the Compassionate Care Hospice.  Born in Trenton, Mr. Burick was a lifelong Trenton and Yardville resident.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific and European theatres of operation from 1943 to 1946.  He retired in 1989 after 24 years of service as a machinist; he had started his work with R.C.A. which then changed to Western Electric and AT&T and finally Lucent Technologies of Hopewell, where he was employed as a model maker.  Stephen was a 54-year and life member of the St. Stanislaus Holy Name Society.  He served as church usher at the Sunday 11 a.m. Mass for 45 years and was a life member of the Fin, Fur and Feather Club of Cream Ridge.  He was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hamilton Post 3525 and a current member of the Yardville Post 491.  Stephen bowled and golfed with the Holy Name teams and with then Bishop Reese.  Also, he enjoyed all sports, baseball, football, his golf and bowling, but especially his fishing and trips with his wife, Ann, to Atlantic City.  

He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Anna Klodzen Burick; his son, Paul Joseph Burick; his brothers, Michael, Joseph and Paul Burick, and his sisters, Mary Helmlinger, Anna McGeachy, Margaret Breece and Helen Sylvester.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Ann Evans Burick of Yardville; his two sons, Stephen E. Burick of Blackwood, NJ, and John M. Burick of Yardville; his daughter and son-in-law, Maryann and Ted Orndorff of New Egypt, NJ; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Julia Burick of Yardville, NJ, and Mary Ann Migut of Levittown, PA; his brother-in-law and his spouse, John Jr. and Margaret Evans of Trenton, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

The family offers special thanks and God's blessings upon the nurses, who are God's angels of mercy, on the Compassionate Care Hospice, 6th Floor, of St. Francis Medical Center.  

The funeral will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m. from the Winowicz Funeral Home, Adeline and Beatty streets.  Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Divine Mercy Parish, Saint Stanislaus Church, corner of Smith and Randall avenues with Msgr. Edward J. Arnister presiding.  Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Hamilton Township.  Calling hours will be Friday morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the funeral home with a VFW service at 9:30 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are to be made to either the Compassionate Care Hospice, St. Francis Medical Center, 6th Floor, 601 Hamilton Ave., Trenton, NJ 08629 or to the Divine Mercy Parish, 201 Adeline St., Trenton, NJ 08611.
