YARDVILLE -- Francis (Fran) A. Ricigliano, 85, of Yardville died on Monday, September 11, 2006, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
A lifelong area resident, Mr. Ricigliano was born in Trenton and raised in Hamilton. He was a graduate of Hamilton High School West, Class of 1941, and a graduate of Rutgers University. Mr. Ricigliano was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army 13th Airdrome Squadron in the Philippines. He retired from Trenton High School, where he was a sheet metal vocational teacher, and later worked in Nottingham High School’s attendance office He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 27; a current member of St. Vincent DePaul Senior Citizen Club and White Horse Lions Club; a life member of both the Fin, Fur and Feather Hunting Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars of Hamilton Twp. Post # 3525; and a lifetime charter member of the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. Fran coached Little League baseball for Hamilton Little Lads and Babe Ruth Baseball. Francis was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn Grace Ricigliano, who died in 1996; his parents, Antonio Ricigliano and Maria Donata Palma Ricigliano; his brothers, Mark Anthony Ricigliano and Donald R. Ricigliano; and his sisters, Lucy Spair, Catherine Mull, and Jenny Howe. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Mary Ellen Ricigliano; a sister, Maria (Peg) Schaaf; his grandson,Thomas Ricigliano, his granddaughter, Janine Ricigliano, and his great- granddaughter, Ciara Ricigliano; and many nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Kingston and Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hamilton. Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Fran was very active in the Fin, Fur and Feather organization with hunting, fishing and other social events.
