John F. Fraytak Fin, Fur and Feather Club of New Jersey


WEST WINDSOR - John F. Fraytak, 70, of West Windsor Township, died Sept. 30, 2011, at his residence in the Bear Creek Assisted Living facility surrounded by his loving family.

A lifelong resident of Trenton, John served in the U.S. Army National Guard, and retired from the State of New Jersey Environmental Protection Agency as a draftsman. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a member of the Fin, Fur and Feather Club. He was also a member of the American-Hungarian Civic Association.

Son of the late John M. and Catherine Ashmore Fraytak, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, David and Joanne Fraytak of Hamilton; sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Ben Fisher of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; niece, Dana Troiano and her husband, Stephen; nephews, David Fraytak Jr. and his wife, Amanda, Benjamin Fisher and his wife, Denise, Todd Fisher and his wife, Lacey; five great-nephews and one great-niece.

Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hartmann Memorial Home, 2830 Nottingham Way, Mercerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
