NJ Youth Deer Hunt Produces 3 Bucks at FFF

Lauren Barron, Chris Green and Brandon Nitschmann Bag Bucks

On a damp but warm Saturday, 4 young hunters set afield with their dads during the NJ Youth Deer Hunt Day.

Lauren Barron hunted in her fathers favorite secret place behind the Robinsville Bar and Grill.  (I guess the secrets out now! lol)  Lauren shot and killed a nice spike. Congratulations to Lauren and her now favorite guide, Emil Barron Jr.  Who says girls can't hunt?  Lauren is the grandaughter of Emil Barron Sr. (Mr. Barron) and niece of Eddie and Boozer.

Christopher Green 5 Point Buck on Youth Deer Hunt Day Christopher Green hunting in Bordentown with his father Dick Green shot a nice 5 point buck with a 20 gauge slug at 45 yards.  Nice shooting Chris!  And dad was ready to pack it in when Chris spotted the buck behind them.  Way to go!  Chris is a regular checking into the web site with pictures of some nice fish he has caught. Hope you have a picture for us to put on this page.  Chris is the grandson of Richard Green (Puffer).  CLICK ON PIC TO ENLARGE

Brandon Nitschmann hunting with his dad, Will Nitschmann in an undisclosed location (but we know where it is) shot and killed a 7 point buck.  Nice shooting Brandon!  I'm sure you might have a picture for us to put on this page.  Brandon is the grandson of Werner and Vi Nitschman and nephew of Werner (not Will) Nitschmann the irritator, er I mean irrigation specialist!

Also hunting was Darin Johnson with his father Shawn Johnson.  Darin missed a deer.  Well at least he saved one for the rest of us!  And a late report in that Samantha Rapos also participated in the Youth Deer Hunt with her guide Andy Rapos.

Contratulations to all our young hunters and their guides.  All had safe hunt, a day out together and memories that will last a lifetime.  To quote Frank (no not that quote fellas) "Thats what it's all about kids!"  It's a great program set up by the Division of Fish Game & Wildlife aimed at giving the young hunter a chance to learn the sport and increasing the odds at bagging a deer with an early hunt.  And not only are your parents and grandparents proud of our young hunters, the whole Fin, Fur and Feather organization is proud as well.  Oh yeah, send the pictures in soon!
